As many of you know, our beloved wife, mother, daughter, sister, aunt, and friend, Colleen Kenney, passed away suddenly on June 21, 2025, while staying in Scotland with her husband, Joe. At the time, she was enjoying a warm evening in the garden of their generous hosts and now dear friends, Tim and Kelly—an evening that turned unexpectedly tragic for everyone present.

Tim and Kelly, who we can only describe as the Scottish version of our parents, have shown our family a level of compassion and care that has been truly life-changing. From providing meals, rides, and help navigating local systems, to simply being a constant source of support, they have gone above and beyond in a time of immense grief.

As they now begin renovating the garden where Colleen spent her final moments, we would like to offer them a small token of gratitude. Many of you have asked how you can support us—this is our answer.

In Colleen’s spirit of generosity, we’re asking for donations of no more than $25, if you feel moved and are in a position to give. One of her tattoos read: “Life is not measured by its duration, but by its donation.” We hope to honor that message by giving back to those who took such loving care of us when they had no obligation to do so.
