Picture this; it’s one of the last motorcycle rides of the season, you’re only two miles from your home on a crisp fall afternoon, and out of the woods runs a deer…a split second was all it took for an unavoidable accident.
On the afternoon of Friday October 20th, 2023 - this is what happened to my Uncle Tim.
His daughter Cassie received a startling, but life-saving emergency text message to her phone stating that her dad was involved in a crash just a couple miles from his home. The deer that collided with his motorcycle died instantly, and Tim is lucky to be alive right now. He is in stable condition in the hospital and suffering from broken ribs, a collapsed lung, a concussion, and lacerations to his arms. On top of this, he now has pneumonia. Tim is what some people would call a “cowboy.” He never complains, works himself to the bone, and does whatever he possibly can to provide for his family. He takes solace in a nice ride on his Harley Davidson motorcycle, and for this to happen is beyond devastating.
To add some color here, he is also receiving treatment for stage four chronic lymphocytic leukemia, and this accident puts added stress and strain on him not only bodily, but financially as well.
Hi everyone, my name is Mallory and I am helping to set up this gofundme page on behalf of my family to support my Uncle Tim Roach. If you are able to donate or even show support by sharing, it would be immensely appreciated.
