Support Tim: A Car for a Dedicated Volunteer

To friends of the local environment;

I am reaching out on behalf of a longtime friend and volunteer Tim Otterbach. Tim, a resident of Ossipee NH, is undergoing health challenges at this time. He is in need of a reliable used car to get to medical appointments, the grocery store, and around town. Tim has donated countless hours of his time at no cost to Green Mountain Conservation Group tending to the renovation of the headquarters on Huntress Bridge Road, planning a new housing facility for the AmeriCorps volunteers, advocating for the enforcement of town groundwater protection ordinances across the watershed, devoting summer days for lake water quality monitoring, and responding to demands for on-call emergencies and maintenance of the GMCG facilities. At the annual Celebration in 2021, Tim received the annual GMCG Highwatch Award for exemplary volunteer service.

As I am putting this together more friends are surfacing who extoll the generosity of time Tim has provided this region on behalf of the community, including Friends of Constitution Park Ossipee, the Ossipee Rotary, and Ossipee Lake Alliance.

"Since the beginning of Friends of Constitution Park Ossipee’s efforts in 2021, Tim has played a pivotal role in the enhancement of the park. With his expertise, he designed and constructed beautiful kiosks, signs, benches, and picnic tables which improved the park’s aesthetics and visitor experience. Tim was the lead contractor for the pavilion, as well as for the new entrance sign for the park on Route 25, both of which are a testament to Tim’s dedication and craftsmanship.

Beyond his incredible hands-on work, Tim has also been an invaluable member of our Advisory Committee for the renovation of the Deer Run boardwalk trail, which is set to be completed this fall.

We owe Tim Otterbach a huge debt of gratitude for his tireless volunteer work and his unwavering support of our mission. His contributions have made an indelible mark on Constitution Park and the broader Ossipee community. We are deeply thankful for everything he has done to bring our vision to life."

Please join me and the many "Friends" to help fund a used car for Tim. Our goal is to collect the funds necessary to allow Tim to acquire a used reliable car, register it, cover the 1st year of car insurance, and have some leftover for other unanticipated needs.

It’s the best gesture we can do in the new year to help support this wonderful generous volunteer who advocates for giving back to the community and for protecting our community's natural resources as he has done for so many years. Thank You one and all. Happy New Year.
