Support Tilly's Battle Against Cancer

Our sweet boy Tilly has always been a quiet presence in our home—a night owl, a shadowy little guardian who preferred moonlight to chaos, Ayla’s room to the rest of the world. He’s been more than a cat. He’s been Ayla’s companion, her soft place, her silent anchor since childhood.

Recently, Tilly became very ill. He stopped eating, grew dangerously thin, and began showing signs of pain and severe lethargy. After multiple vet visits, an emergency hospital stay, and extensive diagnostics, we were told what no pet parent wants to hear: Tilly has cancer.

Tilly has been diagnosed with small-to-medium cell intestinal lymphoma, a form of cancer that—while serious—is treatable with steroids and oral chemotherapy. But he didn’t just have cancer. He was also critically dehydrated, anemic, battling an infection, and struggling with compromised kidney function after nearly two weeks of not eating. We rushed him to emergency care, where he’s now been receiving IV fluids, antibiotics, steroids, bloodwork, and close monitoring.

Tilly is finally turning a corner. He’s more alert. He’s responding to touch. He’s lifting his tail. And today, for the first time in days, he purred in Ayla’s lap.

We’re doing everything we can to give him a real chance—not just to survive, but to come back home and live out his time with comfort, dignity, and love.

But the cost is steep.

So far, his emergency vet care has totaled nearly $6,500. We’ve already paid $4,500 out of pocket through CareCredit and personal funds, but we’re now facing the remaining balance as his care continues.
