I created this GoFundMe for Michelle and Eric after a heartbreaking accident involving their sweet dog, Tigger.

Tigger was happily wandering through the bushes in their yard, decorated with beautiful outdoor Christmas lights, when a tragic accident occurred. While the exact details are unclear, Tigger was electrocuted and suffered two severe leg fractures. Thankfully, the GFI outlet shut off before a house fire could start. But sadly, the accident left Tigger badly injured and in urgent need of surgery.

This all happened during the holidays — a time that is already emotionally and financially heavy. The unexpected veterinary bills have added an overwhelming burden. Tigger’s surgery is estimated to cost $8,000, and I’ve added an additional $2,000 to help cover medications and possible time off work during his recovery.

Earlier this year, Michelle lost her job due to government cuts. Although she has since found new work, their family has been carefully budgeting, and this sudden expense is more than anyone could have planned for.

Michelle and Eric are two of the most generous, loving people I know. They are the kind of people who show up for others without hesitation, who give quietly and never expect anything in return. They don’t complain, even when life is unfair. They love deeply — and that love shows in how they care for Tigger.

My hope in creating this fundraiser is simply to help ease some of the weight they’re carrying, so they can focus on what matters most: helping Tigger heal.
