About 3 years ago, my mom began caring for a feral cat named Tigger. His previous caregiver moved away, and since then, he’s become a beloved member of our family. When they first met, Tigger wouldn’t let anyone get close to him, but over the years, he’s learned to trust our mom. He even comes inside our home now, has slept on the couch, and has formed a special bond with Sequoia, our mom’s other cat. He’s now comfortable enough to let gentle boops on the nose and even lays on the bed.

Recently, during a routine vet visit, a lump was discovered. After a biopsy, we learned that Tigger has a single-cell sarcoma. This type of cancer is likely to grow, but it can be surgically removed. The surgery and care would cost around $5–6k. While it’s not guaranteed that the cancer won’t return, we want to give Tigger the best chance possible.

Our mom is hesitant to spend such a large sum without knowing the outcome, so my siblings and I decided to start this GoFundMe to help cover the costs and give Tigger a shot at a longer, happy life.
