Support Tiger’s Kung Fu During COVID 19

Tiger’s Kung Fu Academy is a dream that was established over 20 years ago. Our dream and business has been recently affected by the COVID-19 outbreak as we have had to close our doors.The concept was that we would start a Martial Arts program that would change our community and the world for the better. We teach Martial Arts and Cardio Kickboxing to students as young as three years old and throughout adulthood.

Our goal is that we not only teach Martial Arts to children, but to instill in them the values it takes to be strong, kind, confident individuals, who become good people as adults who can then pass those values to their loved ones and their own children. We believe that it takes a community of people to raise a child between parents, schools and positive role models and Tiger’s Kung Fu wants to be a part of that. We started our school with just two students and now our program has grown and we have helped thousands in our community.

Martial Arts training is historically expensive. Something that was off limits to those who could not afford lessons. Tiger’s Kung Fu’s goal was that anyone from anywhere can afford to train Martial Arts. Our school is the most diverse school that I have ever witnessed. We have kids of all different backgrounds, race, income levels and we have the highest ratio of girls in each class that we know of. 

We teach our kids lessons on how to dealwith the hardships and realities of life, sothey can be prepared and overcome those hardships. We teach them self defense in  a realistic manner so they know exactly how to keep themselves safe in any situation.

We have been achieving our dream of changing our community for the better. Wehave been helping change our world, one student at a time. We’ve received countless messages from our members and parents about how our programs have changed their lives for the better and have instilled lessons that will stay with them forever.

However, with the recent COVID-19 outbreak, our program has been greatly suffering. Though we have been continuously working tirelessly making our classes online, many families have needed to leave our program. With so many of the parents of our students losing their jobs, with the fear of being in contact with others, our dream is fading away more with each day that goes by and many families are left with no choice but to leave our school and program. 

This situation has been a hurricane that is threatening to destroy all of what we have built for 22 years within a few short months. What we are asking for is help torebuild from the wreckage. We are asking for is help so we will have the time to slowly build back. Our school took such hard work and dedication to build, but mostof all it took time to do so. We have applied for endless amounts of grants, loans through the government and various corporations that have been assisting small businesses and we have not received any help enduring the closure of our school. 

If you are able to donate anything towards the rebuilding of Tiger’s Kung Fu, we would be forever grateful. All money received would be used for one thing: to help pay our monthly rent so we have time to rebuild our school one student at a time.
