Support Tiffany's Efforts to Help Her Mother

My name is Tiffany, and this is the very first time I’ve ever asked for help for myself. I never imagined I’d be in this position, but I’m at a point where I don’t know what else to do. Thank you for taking a moment to read my story.

Ten months ago, my mother lost her job as a construction superintendent. Since then, she’s applied to countless jobs, rewritten resumes, sent cover letters, and made follow-up calls—yet despite her years of experience, the interviews never turn into offers. I can’t help but feel it’s partly her age, and partly the reality of being a woman in such a male-dominated industry.

She’s spent all of her savings just trying to stay afloat. For the past several months she’s been living in a camper in Tulsa, Oklahoma, and when she couldn’t keep up with the bills, I stepped in to cover her lot rent and storage unit so she wouldn’t lose everything she owns.

But now, I’m running out of options myself. I work long hours at my office job during the week, and on top of that I deliver for Uber Eats and picking up gigs at the convention center whenever available. Despite juggling three jobs, I’m drowning in bills and debt. I finally had to tell my mom I couldn’t keep supporting her from afar, and that her only choice was to come live with me in Arizona.

She agreed, and she’ll be moving here at the end of September. But between helping cover her final rent, the cost of getting her and her dogs here safely, and keeping up with my own expenses, I feel like I’m on the verge of losing everything I’ve worked so hard to build.

My mother has always been my rock. She was there for me through every low point of my life, and I can’t—won’t—turn my back on her now. I’ll do whatever it takes to make sure she’s okay, but I can’t carry this alone anymore.

So I’m here, humbly asking for help. Even if you don’t know me, I hope you can connect to my story and understand the love I have for my mom. Whether it’s a donation, a share, or even just a kind word, anything you can give means more than I can ever express.

From the bottom of my heart, thank you.
