"After 10 1/2 years of living with chronic myeloid leukemia and going through multiple failed treatments, I’ve finally reached the next step in this journey, I’ll be having a bone marrow transplant in September, 2025.
This has been a long, exhausting road —physically, mentally, and emotionally. But I’m still fighting and will continue to do so as I go through this process. Thank you to everyone who has stood by me through the years. The messages, prayers, and support are appreciated more than I could ever explain. I am blessed to have a great team of Dr’s at OHSU where I will be having the transplant done which makes it a little less scary." - Tiffany
Prior to the transplant process beginning, we were plagued by several hits to our living situation. The Subaru's engine died, leaving us with no car (Kevin's dad is letting us use his temporarily). Tiffany's employer was bought out, and she was laid off. Her SS Disability decided that it was time for a review, which has stopped all payments. Kevin's job is going through a staffing crisis which has the potential to shut down, leaving him without work (this job is allowing him to work from home during the 3 1/2 month recovery process where Tiffany must have someone with her 24/7).
We must live within 25 miles of OHSU during the recovery time, with a reliable vehicle for both emergencies (she must go to OHSU for many possible issues) and 2-3 trips a week for check-ups. She is not able to leave the house for anything except medical appointments.
At this point we are asking for assistance financially as well as prayerfully due to these delicate situations. Please consider donating toward Tiffany's Bone Marrow Transplant Journey as we focus on her health above all else.
