Tia was diagnosed with triple negative breast cancer last year and she fought with everything she had. Her husband Andy, was the rock she needed to hold her up through such aggressive treatments for this horrible, ugly disease. Luckily she went into remission this past spring and there was cause for celebration. However, it was short lived as the cancer has come back with a vengeance and has spread to her lungs, colon, liver and lymph nodes. This has surprised everyone, including her medical team at MD Anderson. The treatment for this will be extremely hard on the family physically, mentally and financially. Although they have insurance, it doesn't cover everything, and I personally know how hard this can be as I am fighting cancer as well.

They have a beautiful 4 year old daughter, Sophia, who has been on this rollercoaster ride for the past 18 months and is now facing more time away from her mom which is heartbreaking. This money will also help Sophia get what she needs regarding care and therapy.

Tia will be exploring both modern medicine as well as alternative, holistic approaches to help augment the cruelty of chemo and radiation.
