We are reaching out with heavy hearts and a desperate plea for help. Our beloved father, Tiare Areti, is currently fighting for his life, and we need your support to ensure he gets the care he desperately needs.

For the past four months, our dad has been suffering from severe health issues. He can no longer eat without vomiting, and his condition has worsened to the point where he now relies solely on IV fluids to survive. Despite this, the Kiribati Referral Committee has denied him the funding needed for proper medical treatment, leaving him no choice but to seek private care in Fiji.

Tiare has always been a strong, hardworking father. In 2023, he was granted funding by the Referral Committee to travel to India for surgery, and his doctors there instructed him to return after one year for follow-up care. However, two years have now passed, and he has been denied to return to India as instructed by his doctors due to Kiribati Referral Committee limitations, and his condition has deteriorated significantly. In September, while still in the Kiribati hospital, he was informed by doctors that there is no cure available in Kiribati, and his only chance for survival lies in receiving treatment abroad. Unfortunately, once again, the Referral Committee has denied him the necessary funding.

As a result, Tiare has been forced to privately fund his checkups in Fiji, but the financial burden is becoming overwhelming. He is unable to meet the medical costs on his own, and as his children, we are struggling to provide for his treatment while also managing our own responsibilities—two of us are in university, and the other two are still in school.

We humbly ask for your generosity and support. If you are able to contribute, any amount will go directly towards helping us cover our father's medical expenses in Fiji, ensuring he gets the vital treatment he so desperately needs. Your donation will not only help us provide for his medical care but also give us hope that we can bring him back to health and reunite him with his children, who love him dearly.
