Support Tian’s Rent Party for Stability

Hey y’all, I’m Tian. I never get on here and ask for anything or say much at all. But this time, I really need to lean on the community. Here goes… transparency.

For the last 3 years, I’ve been putting my life back together. I lost my apartment during the strike in July 2023. My car was repossessed a year later when I couldn’t maintain the payments. That TANKED my credit. Through the goodwill and kindness of MANY friends, I have slept in guest rooms and on couches for the past 2 1/2 years. I know that’s many of our stories here in LA. I’m finally able to rebuild my life and have a place of my own again. With crap credit, the only way I was able to do that was by paying a high deposit, 1st and last all upfront. I got rejected from 5 prior apartment applications and this was the only place that would accept me with less than fair credit and no co-signer/guarantor.

Everyone I asked either didn’t have the credit or weren’t willing to risk theirs (I get it in this climate).

I found this nice lil studio that I can afford with what I make at my job. YES, I have a “day job” that pays me well enough to afford the monthly rent thereafter. The rent is $1600 a month and so is the deposit, which I’ve already paid. And I’ll have time to build my credit.

I just need a little help, so I thought I’d try a virtual RENT PARTY.
