My name is Susan, and I am Gloria Trujillo’s niece. Tía Gloria has always been a loving, strong presence in our family, and now she needs us more than ever. Gloria underwent dental surgery to remove a cancerous mass from her gum. What we hoped would be the start of healing turned into months of ongoing treatments and hospital visits. For over six months, our family has been by her side—traveling back and forth to the hospital, staying overnight when needed, and doing everything possible to support her care.

Sadly, Gloria’s health has continued to decline. She has struggled to eat, leading to severe weight loss and extreme weakness. She now requires full-time assistance and has recently been admitted to the hospital due to serious nutritional deficiencies.
