In August of 2023, my Tia Edelmira was diagnosed with a brain tumor. Thanks to the help of friends and family, enough funds were raised for her to undergo surgery, which successfully removed the tumor. However, the surgery resulted in the loss of vision in her right eye, and her recovery has been a bit challenging. My aunt is a single mom with two daughters, living in Mexico. Her husband passed away eight years ago, so it has just been her and her daughters. Finding work and income in Mexico has been difficult, especially now that her health has declined.
Recently, we received the unfortunate news that her tumor has returned. She will need another surgery to remove it which adds another load of medical expenses. The treatment requires her to travel to Guadalajara, which is two hours away from her home, for every medical appointment. Without the ability to work and with no spouse to support her, covering these costs is very difficult.
We are grateful for everyone's support, as any little bit helps. Our family is also organizing raffles and dinners to raise funds for her treatment. Your kindness and generosity will make a real difference in her life. Thank you for considering a donation and for sharing her story.

En agosto de 2023, mi tía Edelmira fue diagnosticada con un tumor cerebral. Gracias a la ayuda de amigos y familiares, se recaudaron fondos suficientes para que pudiera someterse a una cirugía, la cual logró remover el tumor. Sin embargo, la cirugía resultó en la pérdida de la visión en su ojo derecho y su recuperación ha sido un poco difícil. Mi tía es madre soltera de dos hijas y vive en México. Su esposo falleció hace ocho años, así que solo han sido ella y sus hijas. Encontrar trabajo e ingresos en México ha sido complicado, especialmente ahora que su salud ha empeorado.
Recientemente recibimos la desafortunada noticia de que el tumor ha regresado. Necesitará otra cirugía para removerlo, lo que implica más gastos médicos. El tratamiento requiere que viaje a Guadalajara, que está a dos horas de su casa, para cada cita médica. Sin la posibilidad de trabajar y sin un esposo que la apoye, cubrir estos gastos es muy difícil.
