My name is Thanh Ashley, and I am reaching out on behalf of my beloved older sister, Thuy Nguyen. Thuy is a single mother of two sons who are both in college right now. She has always been the heart of our family—kind, generous, hardworking, and incredibly strong. She is currently facing the toughest battle of her life: a rare form of liver cancer. Despite her positive spirit, the cancer has caused severe anemia needing outpatient blood transfusions, and her recent surgery on Friday November 21st to remove the tumor was unsuccessful because the mass had grown too large to operate safely. She was then sewn back with a large incision. She remains at the hospital due to weakness and tachycardia. Thuy must begin targeted therapy and possibly chemotherapy to shrink the tumor before operating again.
Thuy has not been able to work for the past six months since her diagnosis, and the financial strain has been overwhelming. She is struggling to keep up with her mortgage, car loan, medical bills, utilities, groceries, and other basic needs. On top of her health challenges, Thuy has faced unexpected hardships, including major plumbing issues that led to water damage and black mold in her home, as well as a recent car accident that added to her expenses. With her health declining, she is no longer able to care for our elderly parents and sister, who are now living with me in Lampasas, three hours away from her home in Katy, TX.
Through all of this, Thuy remains generous and sweet, but she needs our help now more than ever. I am advocating for her because she is too physically and mentally exhausted to do so herself. Any support you can offer will go directly toward her treatment, recovery, and essential living expenses. If you are able to donate, thank you from the bottom of our hearts—your kindness and generosity mean the world to our family.
