My name is Duval Jefferson, and I’m a professional dancer, actor, and creative based in London. I’ve spent the last seven years performing, choreographing, and teaching across Afro, commercial, dancehall, and hip-hop styles. Dance is more than just my career — it’s how I express myself, connect with people, and bring joy into the world.

Recently, I was diagnosed with a rare type of Hodgkin’s Lymphoma, a type of blood cancer. I shared my diagnosis publicly because I want to raise awareness — especially among young people — about the importance of checking yourself and listening to your body. Since then, I’ve been met with so much love, encouragement, and support from friends, family, and my creative community, and I’m deeply grateful for it all.

As I begin chemotherapy, my ability to work will be drastically reduced, and at times, I will not be able to work.

I lack financial support from family since my father passed away when i was 11 and my mother has lived with mental and physical health issues for the majority of my life.

My main practical family support is my older sister Dionne who has helped me map everything out & after not settling in her new home base flying back to UK again to help me . Then also brother Dominic who some of you know. Naturally due to the steep expenses that need covering, their own challenges and expenses they lack the capacity to fully fund all my expenses.

This fundraiser is to help me stay financially stable, safe and while I focus fully on recovery and treatment. I have budgeted for my normal living costs and a small budget to cover health supplements and caregiver support that can help me heal faster.

We have created a financial forecast based on expenses and will share a screen shot on here.

My chemo will be a minimjm of 4 .5 months and i wont be able to be around larger groups or return to normal living until a minimum of 3 -5 more months on top of that . Thats providing all goes well.

I will also share a many vlog posts as I can to keep you updated. I try and vlog in a way that keeps spirits lifted and you informed.
