I’m reaching out with love and urgency to ask for help for my baby Thor.
Thor is only 2.5 years old, but he’s already been through so much. I rescued him as a sick little kitten from the shelter, and he’s been a fighter from the start. When he was young, a severe case of Feline Herpesvirus left him with permanent damage to one of his eyes, he lives with an ulcerated eye to this day.
But recently, Thor has been facing a new and painful challenge… he’s developed severe Feline Chronic Gingivostomatitis, a condition that causes intense inflammation in his mouth and gums. He struggles to eat, open his mouth, and even groom himself. Some days his pain is so bad that he screams in pain when he tries to eat, yawn or groom.
The only way for Thor to live without this daily pain is to undergo a full mouth tooth extraction as many of his teeth are rapidly decaying. This surgery will hopefully relieve his suffering and give him a real chance at a happy, comfortable life.
Unfortunately, this advanced veterinary procedure is very expensive , sit down when I say, it’s estimated between $4,000 and $7,000. Now, both of Thor’s mommies work in animal welfare, and while we have dedicate our lives to helping animals, this price is so out of reach for us…
We’re turning to the kindness of our community to help Thor get the care he needs. Every donation, no matter how small, makes a difference. If you’re not able to give right now, even sharing this page means the world to us.
Thank you for reading, for caring, and for being a part of Thor’s journey. With your help, he can finally get relief and live the pain-free life he deserves.
Note: the cost estimation was given directly by the specialist performing the surgery. Surgery date is tentative , but we hope to get it done before September.
Thank you all.
