Support Thor: Emergency Vet Treatment Needed
Donation protected
Hi, my name is Morgan, and I’m reaching out for help for my 1-year-old cat, Thor. Thor isn’t just a pet; he’s my emotional support animal and has been my rock through so much. He’s the sweetest baby who loves napping, playing with his feather toys, and bringing joy to everyone he meets.
On November 13th, Thor started showing signs of urinary issues. We initially tried treating him with medication, but four days ago, things took a turn—he began vomiting and hiding, something he’d never done before. Last night, I rushed him to urgent care, and they referred us to the ER, suspecting he might be blocked. Tests at the ER were inconclusive, but by morning, Thor couldn’t urinate and was groaning in pain. Today, the ER confirmed he is indeed blocked and requires immediate intervention.
Thor needs to stay at the hospital for three days: two days to flush out his bladder and one day to ensure he’s urinating properly before he can come home. As a college student, I’m doing everything possible to afford his care, but the cost is overwhelming. I’m willing to go into debt for him because I can’t imagine life without him.
The funds raised will go directly toward Thor’s medical bills. These bills include his 3-day long stay at the hospital, IV fluids and medications, catheters, and anything else he may need. Any leftover money will either be refunded to donors or donated to the ER to help families in similar situations. Thank you for reading and for any support you can give—Thor and I appreciate it more than you know.

NOVEMBER 20th UPDATE:
The doctor called this morning with some mixed news. Overnight, Thor spiked a fever, which they believe could be due to the medications he's on. Additionally, there’s more blood in his urine than the doctors are comfortable with. Because of this, they won’t be able to remove his catheter today as planned, and he may need to stay an extra day for closer monitoring.
The blood in his urine might be due to excess trauma in his bladder or urethra, so they’re keeping a close eye on him to make sure he heals properly.
Thank you all so much for your support and kind words during this tough time. Thor and I are so grateful for your help, and I’ll keep you updated as we learn more. Please keep sending love and positive thoughts his way.
UPDATE NOVEMBER 21st:
Hi everyone, I’m so happy to share some positive updates about Thor! By Wednesday afternoon, his fever had dropped, and the blood in his urine started to clear up. By Thursday morning, there was no more blood in his urine, and the doctors were able to remove his catheter to monitor him freely.
The big milestone was whether he could urinate on his own by 3 PM—and he did it! Thanks to his progress, Thor was discharged and is finally back home with me.
He’ll be on medication for the next week to ensure he’s urinating properly and will need to stick to a wet diet for the rest of his life, but he’s doing so much better. I can’t thank you all enough for your incredible kindness and support through this scary time. Thor and I are so grateful for every donation, share, and kind word. I am absolutely blown away by how much money we have raised for him so hopefully we can keep the momentum going!
