Hi, I’m Thomas. I’m a dog. I got hit by a 4-wheeler. And now the vet is keeping one of my legs.
(Yep. You read that right. I’m officially a part-time tripod now.)
Let me set the scene.
It was a normal day. I was doing very important dog things—sniffing grass, barking at leaves, contemplating the meaning of tennis balls—when BAM! Out of nowhere, a 4-wheeler decided to turn me into a speed bump.
Rude.
There was yelping (me), shouting (my human), and probably some swearing (also my human). Next thing I know, I’m in the vet’s office getting poked, prodded, and told, “We’re gonna have to take the leg.”
And now? The doctor’s keeping it. I don’t know what for. A souvenir? A weird paperweight? Maybe he’s starting a collection. Either way, I’m down a limb, up a vet bill, and still trying to figure out how to climb stairs like a majestic, one-legged goat.
I may be missing a leg, but I haven’t lost my charm. Or my appetite. Or my ability to emotionally manipulate humans with my sad puppy eyes.
So I’m asking—if you’ve ever loved a dog, laughed at a dumb accident, or just want to help a very good boy bounce back from becoming an accidental off-road speed bump, I could really use a little help with my vet bill.
Anything helps. Except squirrels. I still hate squirrels.
With love (and three legs),
Thomas the Slightly Lopsided Legend
