Support Thomas’s Healing Journey

Donation protected
Thomas is a vibrant 15-year-old student at Carpinteria High School who loves spending time outdoors—whether it’s beach days, biking, or skateboarding. Recently, Thomas faced an unimaginable challenge when he developed an extremely rare and severe reaction to medication, known as Stevens-Johnson syndrome. What began as an illness quickly escalated, leading to several trips to the ER and a misdiagnosis that allowed his symptoms to worsen.

After being airlifted from Cottage Hospital in Santa Barbara to the Pediatric ICU burn unit at Santa Clara Valley Medical Center, Thomas is now under the care of an incredible team of ophthalmologists, dermatologists, plastic surgeons, and other specialists. His mom, Dasha, and sister, Lana, are by his side every step of the way, providing love and support as he undergoes intensive treatment for his eyes, skin, and the overall healing of his body. The road to recovery will be long, and Thomas is expected to remain in the hospital for an extended period to receive the care he needs.

During this time, the family is focused on supporting Thomas' recovery in the pediatric ICU and being together. Your support will help cover mounting medical bills, specialty treatments, and the cost of hospital lodging for his mom while she stays with him at Santa Clara Valley Medical Center. Any contribution, big or small, will make a meaningful difference and help Thomas and his family focus on healing and hope. Thank you for standing with them during this difficult time.
