January is my birth month, as a gift to myself, I’m humbly asking for your support as I embark on a new chapter in my life and career. A month after getting married, I was wrongfully terminated from my job—a moment that shook me but ultimately pushed me toward pursuing my dream.
As a Black man, I’ve often felt the pressure to remain silent about struggles, but reading Jason Wilson’s book “Battle Cry” helped me embrace transparency and the power of vulnerability. It’s not easy to ask for help, but I’m stepping into this moment of transition with courage and intention.
I’m dedicating myself fully to my digital media business, Disrespectfully Media, which I launched in 2020. My goal is to grow it into a thriving enterprise that creates meaningful content, amplifies stories, and provides businesses and non profs with content strategy. To make that vision a reality, I’m crowdfunding to invest in critical growth opportunities, including:
- Digital Ads: Running ads on Google, Facebook/Instagram, and LinkedIn to generate leads and secure business partnerships.
- Chambers of Commerce Memberships: Joining Chambers of Commerce to access networking opportunities and resources. (These memberships have significant financial barriers to entry).
- Studio Bookings for a Content Event Series: Creating impactful events rand and community.
