It all started with a throbbing headache. After several days, I finally went to see a doctor. They confirmed I had a tumor. Soon after, I underwent surgery, and they successfully removed it. I thought that was the end—I’d just have a scar on my head and could return to my life, working to earn enough money to give my wife the big wedding she deserved.

But days later, the results came back showing it was cancerous. It wasn’t just a tumor; it was a blood cancer. I was diagnosed with leukemia (Ph-negative B-ALL) and told to start chemotherapy immediately.

Before beginning treatment, I decided to fly to Playa del Carmen (even though my doctor did not advise it) to marry the love of my life. I had only three days with her before I had to return. The wedding was quick, simple, and very beautiful. It was perfect.

I came back, and on the very same day as my flight home, I was already checked into my hospital room—determined not to give up and to follow everything the doctors recommended.

I have now completed my first round of treatment and have begun my second. Throughout this, I have stayed strong, optimistic, and courageous. My outlook remains positive, but the treatment is expected to last for months, if not years, and the costs are continuing to add up.

Unable to work during this time, I’m reaching out for support.

Todo comenzó con un dolor de cabeza punzante. Después de varios días, finalmente fui a ver a un médico. Confirmaron que tenía un tumor. Poco después, me sometí a una cirugía y me lo quitaron con éxito. Regresé, y el mismo día que mi vuelo a casa, ya estaba registrado en mi habitación del hospital, decidido a no rendirme y a seguir todo lo que los médicos me recomendaron.

Ahora he completado mi primera ronda de tratamiento y he comenzado mi segunda. A lo largo de esto, me he mantenido fuerte, optimista y valiente. Mi perspectiva sigue siendo positiva, pero se espera que el tratamiento dure meses, si no años, y los costos continúan sumando.

No puedo trabajar durante este tiempo, estoy buscando ayuda.
