Help Launch a Trauma-Informed Certification Program That Heals Addiction at the Root!
Hi, I'm Thomas, founder of the Holistic Addiction Treatment Professional Certification Program (also known as HATP). Through my experience working as a holistic group facilitator at a number of addiction treatment centers in Los Angeles, I have noticed that most holistic group facilitators are highly specialized in one modality and often lack trauma-informed training. The goal of HATP is to provide general training in 9 holistic modalities that are backed by research as being essential in the path of recovery. Our goal: bring body-based, mindfulness-driven healing to thousands — starting with one pilot cohort. Your donation creates sustainable impact, not just another class.
Our Mission
We’re launching the Holistic Addiction Treatment Professional (HATP) Certification Program — a 400-hour, trauma-informed training for group facilitators who serve people in recovery. This program integrates mindfulness, somatic healing, yoga-based tools, and clinical ethics to transform how group work is done in addiction treatment centers.
Why This Matters
Most addiction treatment programs still operate without trauma-informed or body-based healing methods. Many facilitators are undertrained, underpaid, or unrecognized — yet they’re on the frontlines of healing.
This program certifies them. Validates them. Empowers them.
What Your Donation Supports
We’re raising $100,000, with a goal of $50,000 for this first round, to:
1. Develop the curriculum with experts in trauma, somatics, and recovery
2. Train a diverse pilot cohort with scholarships for facilitators from underserved communities
3. Build an online learning platform and certification system
4. Launch the first university-hosted cohort with national credibility
5. Sustain the founder's full-time work for 3 months while this program is launched
Stretch Goal Breakdown
✅ $30K = Launch first pilot cohort
✅ $50K = Cover tech, instructors, and outreach
✅ $100K = Scale to national platform with scholarships and CEU accreditation
Why We’re Using GoFundMe
Because we believe in grassroots, people-powered funding — not just big investors. We want to keep this program accessible, affordable, and true to its mission: healing from the inside out.
