Support Thomas' Battle Against Kidney Cancer
Donation protected
4/1 UPDATE: Thomas underwent radiation and two rounds of treatment, but unfortunately, they were not effective. The cancer is progressing, and his body is growing weaker. He is now receiving hospice care at home, with the focus on keeping him comfortable. While he is still alert, he spends most of his time resting. We are deeply thankful for all the thoughts and prayers we’ve received over the past few months, and we kindly ask that you continue to pray for both him and Kyler during this time.
UPDATE: Thomas had a meeting with his doctor and received the results of his most recent scan. Unfortunately, the treatment is not working, and the cancer has spread. The doctor has recommended a different medication for the next round of treatment, as well as radiation, hoping to slow the progression. While the doctor confirmed that the cancer is not curable, our focus now is on preventing it from spreading further. We are deeply grateful for your continued support, prayers, and kind words during this difficult time. Please continue to pray for relief for Thomas.
After experiencing some unexpected health problems earlier this summer, Thomas was encouraged to see a doctor by his family and coworkers. The results of a CT scan revealed a tumor the size of a baseball on his right kidney and both adrenal glands. He was diagnosed with stage 4 renal cell carcinoma (kidney cancer) on July 14.
A few weeks later, a PET scan showed that the cancer had already spread to one of his lungs, lymph nodes, and bones in his hips and left leg.
Multiple doctors have told him that this cancer is not curable, but it is treatable.
Thomas is a proud and loving father to his son, Kyler. This has been a difficult time for both of them dealing with the stress of this terminal illness. Thomas has been unable to work since his diagnosis in July but continues to undergo treatment and testing here locally in Pensacola.
All proceeds will go towards medical expenses and bills to help him and his son get through this trying time.
