- On Saturday, Oct 11th, my husband, Brad, and my son, Cohen, found a very mal-nourished, but incredibly sweet stray Pit Bull. They were driving near Cinnamon Creek Ranch, just north of highway 170. My husband got out of the truck and the sweet boy came right up to him. He was so skinny, and seemed very weak. My husband and son had to lift him into the truck. When they got him to our house, we fed him and took him to the vet to check for a chip. He had no collar and no chip. We are fairly certain he had been out on his own for months! My daughter Abby, stayed with him in our garage the entire time, and named him "Chip". I started reaching out to social media and several local rescues, without any luck! I started him on a flea treatment and we fed him some eggs for some protein. Fortunately, he was eating well, drinking well, not vomiting, and his bowel and bladder seemed to be working well. Since my family was going to be out late Saturday night at an event, a good friend took him to their home overnight. They bathed him, fed him, took shifts overnight to look after him and let him eat , drink, and potty. They named him "Goose". On Sunday, we were able to meet with a sweet resident of our neighborhood, Saratoga. Her family has rescued other animals and we're willing to give him a chance! I am creating this go fund me in order to help them get this sweet boy back on his feet. Not only does he need to be cared for closely and seen by a vet (they are taking him today), he will also need some care for a wound on his leg, potential infection between his toes, and likely a special diet plan for him to get to a healthy weight. He will also need to be neutered once he is healthy again! To help with this burden, please consider donating. Any amount will help and 100% of the donations will go to the new owners. Thank you all so much! Stay tuned for what his name will be!!
