Hi, I’m raising funds for a family who moved to the UK in search of a better life, selling everything they had. They came here as dependants on their father’s skilled worker visa, but suddenly and heartbreakingly, he passed away without warning just before Christmas 25, at the age of 47.
Since then, the family have been given only a limited time to find another way to remain in the country. Their mother has worked tirelessly, taking on two jobs after her husband’s passing, while the eldest daughter has also worked to help support the family. Giving her mum 50% of her wage.
The mother was offered sponsorship for a visa that could allow them to stay, but in order to accept it she had to leave one of her jobs, losing vital income needed to care for her three children. She now regularly works 7 days a week, from 7am until 10pm at her remaining job, doing everything she can to provide for her family. Now, to secure the sponsorship and their future here, they need £16,000 —(the price for the 4 of them to stay in the UK legally) they simply do not have the money and have no chance of getting this.
They have not asked or expected any handouts from our state and have worked since arriving paying taxes like we all do. Everything above board and tried to be self sufficient but the UK government is now saying they can't stay unless they pay again.
With just over a month left, this family are facing an impossible situation. Your support could help keep them together, give these children stability, and offer them hope for a brighter future during this incredibly difficult time.
Any donation, no matter how small, would mean so much.
