Support this family through this heart wrenching time

Dear Friends,Family and kind supporters,

We are family friends of Donna Bird (Nana) and her sweet six year old grandson named Cairo Bird. Ciaro was diagnosed with terminal Glioglastoma brain cancer November 12 2023. As the Bird family navigates this heart wrenching journey, providing Cairo and family with the love, comfort, and care is our main goal.

Ciaro has underwent 30 rounds of radiation, 3 rounds of chemotherapy, two surgeries to place a shunt in his brain to drain fluid out, into his abdomen and is in extreme physical pain.

Cairo has been in the care of his Nana since he was an infant. Nana also cares for his 3 older siblings with the help of her eldest Grandson. Donna is an absolute angel and has been Ciaro`s rock while he has been fighting to prolong his life the last year.

The costs of daily living have been a heavy burden for Nana. She has been living on pension cheques and savings that have diminished over the last year. Nana is having to face a families worse nightmare alone while her husband of 44 years is unable to financially help or be emotionally supportive due to his deteriorating Alzheimer disease.

We are humbly asking for help to ease these stresses Donna is facing. Every contribution will help the family on focusing precious time together rather than worrying about financial hardship.
