Support Thiry Family in Memory of David

Hi everyone,

I’m creating this GoFundMe for my best friend Emma Thiry, a senior in high school, who just lost her incredible dad, David Thiry, to ALS.

David was more than just a father—he was the heart of the Thiry family. A devoted husband to Tara, a loving dad to five amazing kids—Nathan Kevin, Ian, Ben, and Emma—and a proud grandpa to Kaiden and Evelyn. He had the kindest soul, the warmest smile, and a deep love for his family that was evident in everything he did.

He loved fishing, taking long walks with the dogs, and especially spending time with his grandkids. Whether it was a quiet moment at home or a family day by the lake , David made every moment count. He truly was the best dad, the best husband, and simply one of the best people you could ever meet.

This loss has strongly impacted their life, and while nothing can take away the pain, we can come together to help ease some of the financial burdens during this heartbreaking time.

All funds will go directly to the Thiry family to support funeral expenses, household needs, and anything else that can help them navigate life without David. Most of all, this is a chance for us to show Emma and her family how loved and supported they are.
