Our Next Chapter: Turning the Studio into a School

ThinkerStudio has always been more than a creative studio; it is a community where children are given the freedom to explore and the agency to build, turning their curiosity into tangible creations through a process of authentic, self-directed learning. Today, I am asking for your help to take our next big step.

To protect our unique, learner-centered model and prepare for our expansion into a full-time Innovation Lab in August 2026, we are officially becoming a nonprofit organization: Learning Blueprint Community Schools.

The Goal

We have engaged the education law experts at Thompson & Horton LLP to handle our formal state incorporation and IRS 501(c)(3) filing. The total cost to "legally birth" this organization is $9,700.

I have personally committed the first $5,000 to anchor this project. Now, I am inviting our ThinkerStudio families and the wider Houston community to help us bridge the remaining $4,700.

Where your donation goes:

State & Federal Filing Fees: IRS application fees and nonprofit formation certificates.

Legal Expertise: Research and drafting of our foundational bylaws to ensure our model remains learner-centered for generations to come.

Operational Readiness: Helping us clear the legal hurdles required to secure our new facility and open our doors in August 2026.

The Community Effect

This isn't about large corporate grants yet—it's about the families who have been with us from the beginning. Whether it is $20 or $200, every dollar is a brick in the foundation of this new school.

Note: Because these funds are being used for the legal formation of the nonprofit, donations are not yet tax-deductible. We are currently an "Individual" fundraiser with 100% of proceeds going directly to our legal retainer.
