My name is Kasey Hartley. I'm the daughter of Theresha Lynn Marshall. This is the direct GoFundMe account that will be set up with Frederick Funeral Home as the payout. My mother is diagnosed with stage 4 metastatic cancer of the liver. On March 14th, after her biopsy, it was discovered she actually has stage 4 metastatic cervix cancer that spread to her liver. She has no assets or resources to help cover her burial expenses.

At this moment, my only concern is getting her buried and not cremated, as she has made very clear she does not, under any circumstance, want to be cremated. Unfortunately, it's very expensive, and I just don't have the funds. Her oncologist and hospice have given us a few days, if that, before her battle ends. It all happened so rapidly and unexpectedly. We haven't had any outside help or insurance, and her Medicaid got something wrong. We reapplied, but it has not been approved, and her social security appointment was 3 months out on May 2nd, which doesn't look like it will be happening at all.

I have ferociously tried to get things situated and planned before her passing. Unfortunately, it's just not possible. It has been beyond traumatic and stressful, and I just want to get my mom buried. We already have a plot at Beulah Baptist Church. They charge $250 for it but will work with me on when and however long needed. So right now, I just need to get $5,000 to cover her burial.
