Support Therese As She Maneuvers Her New Life

Hi, my name is Katie Finazzo; I am writing this on my family's behalf, in support of Therese Finazzo, our sister, aunt, and friend.

A few years ago Therese was diagnosed with breast cancer. Recently tumors were discovered in her liver and she was diagnosed with metastasized breast cancer. She began an experimental drug, as it was a lesser evil when it came to the financial burden that befalls people with a cancer diagnosis, who are searching for answers and trying to remain hopeful. The trial drug brought some hope when tumors were found to be shrinking. Unfortunately more tumors began invading her liver and the trial medication was ended.

Ending the trial medication meant new medications and chemotherapy. We continue to hope for anything that will seem miraculous, ease her chronic pain, and/or increase her energy level. Doctors declared she could no longer work, which she of course was and is well aware of by way of the various messages received loud and clear by her body.

Therese receives medicare and pays for a supplemental insurance, but I know all too well from my husband's journey with cancer, that even great insurance coverage can leave you with exorbitant bills that would shock and devastate most people. Currently Therese is in real need of financial support to meet her daily needs and monthly living expenses. She has worked, and been self sufficient all of her adult life. Now she needs some financial support from the kindness of others. She sold some personal items to cover her January rent, but February is fast approaching.
