***UPDATE*****

it’s been a while but unfortunately things have not gotten better , I’m still late in my rent and that has now increased to $1830 per month plus an extra $50 when late and the added threats are not much fun either!! Still waiting to get the MRI Done to see if the treatments were successful. I’m doing everything I can think of to cut corners but when I’m starting out in a deep hole it’s not easy! My name is Theresa Donigan and I have been struggling with making ends meet for the last 6 months due to my Brain Tumor starting to grow again, but to give more background back in 2009 I was diagnosed with a very large brain tumor and had to have surgery, unfortunately they were unable to remove all of the Tumor and after rounds of Radiation and Chemotherapy my remaining tumor was still growing and the Doctors basically had no other solutions. I then learned about a treatment from a group overseas who used some different methods that they have had great success, unfortunately these treatments were not covered by my insurance so I had to come out of pocket for the treatment. My decision was based on did I want to live or die? I chose to Live , I had to tap into my 401k and ultimately between the treatments and being off work for well over 18 months most of which was with no pay. My 401k was depleted! Now 15-1/2. Years later my tumor became active again , which I had been told was possible, so treatments started again and all my savings quickly was depleted and I had to stop paying some bills and was repeatedly late on my rent ( not more than 30 days) and even though I have paid late fees I am being threatened with eviction if I continue to pay late! I just recently had my last treatment and it was a double dose(infusion) treatment and I used my upcoming rent money to pay for this treatment and I have one last item to get done and that is a base line scan. And then another scan a month after that to see if the treatments were successful. My brain tumor has caused me to have constant headaches , every minute of every day but I have come to terms with this and fight through the pain, but worse than that I have severe memory loss and cognitive impairment which was diagnosed by a Neuropsychologist and she stated in her findings that she did not see me being able to work in any type job ever again. So I took a hit again as my income dropped significantly.

I am asking for help with my rent which is $1730 per month(Update Rent is now $1830 without late fee) and includes all utilities, tv and internet. This will enable me to get back on track going forward , my only other expense I have to find the funds for is $300 for the brain scans . Right now I have a total of $15.61 in my checking account and I have no savings account anymore . I am not one the ask for help , I try to help others in need , this is very hard for me to do .
