As you may already know, Theresa Sanchez had a heart attack last April very unexpectedly. It was the kind of heart attack sadly named the widow maker, and luckily, she was at the ER when it occurred. The heart attack was very serious. Theresa was in the ICU at Banner Heart Hospital for a month. She then transferred from there to a rehab facility for several weeks before being able to go home. She is still undergoing procedures and she has a lot of residual damage she is dealing with.


During her recovery, Theresa could not work and was placed on leave without pay. She is now on Long Term Disability and must pay the cost of her health insurance for the past year. She needs to continue her insurance so she can use the same doctors who are still doing procedures on her heart to prevent her from having another heart attack. As you know, having a COBRA plan is very expensive. This is on top of not being paid for almost a year, and it has taken a toll financially.


Many people have asked what they could do to help Theresa over the past year. Her health is still fragile and worrying about bills and health insurance is not good for her health. Theresa is a wonderful person, who over the years working for DCS (formerly CPS) has done so much to help others. She is always one to jump in and assist anyone in need. I decided to do this GoFundMe to try and assist her so that she will not have to worry about all the bills that have been stacking up and be able to go forward in her recovery with less stress.
