Dear Kind-Hearted Supporters,
I am reaching out with a heavy heart and an urgent plea for help. My name is Ronald Panlaque, and I am a father of four children, living and working in Canada as a temporary foreign worker. My wife, Therence Faye Panlaque, is currently battling for her life in the Philippines, and we need your support to help cover the growing medical expenses and hospital bills.
In October 2022, my wife was admitted to the hospital after experiencing severe difficulty breathing. After a series of tests, we discovered that she had pleural effusion—a condition where fluid builds up around the lungs. My wife has no vices, has never smoked, and doesn’t drink, so the diagnosis was puzzling, as it’s often seen in patients with tuberculosis. Despite this, we began treatment, and after six months, we hoped that the worst was behind us. And she was cleared and cured.
However, in June 2023, her condition worsened. She was admitted again for the same problem and required another operation to drain the fluid from her lungs. We hoped for the best as she was discharged after a few weeks, but sadly, in August 2024, she was admitted once more due to severe breathing difficulties. The pleural effusion had returned, and we began to worry that her condition was becoming more serious.
In search of answers, we sought a second opinion from a different doctor. She underwent another surgery (VATS) and several tests, including CT Scans, to investigate possible other illnesses. After being discharged from the hospital, we received heartbreaking news: my wife was diagnosed with Stage 4 lung cancer. This devastating diagnosis has completely shaken our world.
Currently, she is back in the hospital, and the financial burden has become unbearable. She was diagnosed again with pleural effusion but this time on the left side of the lungs. Conducted 2 CT scans .to figure out since she suffer severe pain in her stomach. Now the sad news explode as she has a tumor at her stomach reason giving her so much pain. The surgeries, hospital stays, and tests have drained all our savings, and I have resorted to taking loans from the bank and maxing out my credit cards just to keep up with the mounting bills.and even pawned the lot title of where my family living. I am just a server here in Canada, and while my salary supports my four children, it is not enough to cover the overwhelming medical expenses for my wife. We are struggling to make ends meet, and our family is in desperate need of help.
I am humbly asking for your support. Any amount you can donate will go directly toward my wife’s medical bills and treatments, which are essential for her care. Your kindness will help us keep hope alive and give my wife the fighting chance she deserves.
Please share our story with others who may be able to help.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart for your time, support, and generosity. Your help means the world to us.
With heartfelt gratitude,
Ronald Panlaque
