Every child deserves the chance to grow, communicate, and feel valued — regardless of a diagnosis or a family’s financial situation.
In Albania, many children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) come from vulnerable families who simply cannot afford essential therapies like speech therapy, ABA (Applied Behavior Analysis), developmental therapy, and physiotherapy. While some families receive minimal state assistance, it is nowhere near enough to cover the care their children need to thrive.
This GoFundMe supports the project “A Diagnosis Does Not Define Worth, But Love Does,” led by the Autism Society of Albania, which aims to provide free, specialized therapy for 20 children with autism over the course of one full year.
Through this project, children will receive:
• ABA therapy to support behavior, learning, and independence
• Speech therapy to help them find and use their voice
• Developmental and play therapy to build social and cognitive skills
• Physiotherapy to improve motor development
• Assistive communication tools and technology
• Ongoing support and counseling for parents and caregivers
For many of these families, this project is the only opportunity their child has to receive professional therapy.
As a mother of a child with autism and as advocates working closely with families affected by ASD, we have seen firsthand how life-changing early and consistent intervention can be. With the right support, children with autism can communicate, connect, and flourish — but without access, their potential is left unmet.

Çdo fëmijë meriton mundësinë të rritet, të komunikojë dhe të ndihet i/e vlerësuar — pavarësisht një diagnoze apo gjendjes financiare të familjes.
Në Shqipëri, shumë fëmijë me Çrregullim të Spektrit Autik (ÇSA) vijnë nga familje në nevojë që nuk kanë mundësi të përballojnë terapitë thelbësore si terapia e të folurit, ABA (Analiza e Sjelljes së Aplikuar), terapia zhvillimore dhe fizioterapia. Ndihma minimale që disa familje marrin nga shteti nuk mjafton për të mbuluar kujdesin e nevojshëm që fëmijët të zhvillohen dhe të ecin përpara.
Kjo fushatë GoFundMe mbështet projektin “Një diagnozë nuk e përcakton vlerën, por dashuria po,” të udhëhequr nga Shoqata e Autizmit në Shqipëri, e cila synon të ofrojë terapi profesionale falas për 20 fëmijë me autizëm për një periudhë njëvjeçare.
Përmes këtij projekti, fëmijët do të përfitojnë:
• Terapi ABA për zhvillimin e sjelljes, të nxënit dhe pavarësisë
• Terapi të të folurit për t’i ndihmuar të gjejnë dhe përdorin zërin e tyre
• Terapi zhvillimore dhe lojë-terapi për ndërtimin e aftësive sociale dhe njohëse
• Fizioterapi për përmirësimin e zhvillimit motorik
• Pajisje dhe teknologji ndihmëse për komunikim
• Mbështetje dhe këshillim të vazhdueshëm për prindërit dhe kujdestarët
Për shumë nga këto familje, ky projekt është e vetmja mundësi që fëmija i tyre të marrë terapi profesionale.
Si nënë e një fëmije me autizëm dhe si aktiviste që punojmë ngushtë me familje të prekura nga ÇSA, kemi parë nga afër sa transformuese mund të jetë ndërhyrja e hershme dhe e vazhdueshme. Me mbështetjen e duhur, fëmijët me autizëm mund të komunikojnë, të lidhen me të tjerët dhe të lulëzojnë — por pa akses, potenciali i tyre mbetet i pashfrytëzuar.
