Hi, I’m fundraising on behalf of Theo and his family.
Theo is a much loved 3rd class student of Scoil Eoin Phoil in Leixlip. Theo was born with a rare condition where his stomach and bowl were on the outside - resulting in the removal of most of both organs. He’s never eaten a meal - he is tube fed every night and has battled numerous infections associated with his ongoing treatment - including sepsis and serious liver infections.
Despite Theo’s daily struggles and frequent hospital admissions - he is the brightest most lovable boy - his classmates adore him and his infectious personality. He never complains - he throws a smile to everyone who comes his way regardless of what he’s going though.
The long term goal is a bowel transplant in King’s Hospital in London - a rare operation on a child of Theo’s age - giving him a 50% chance of recovery. His parents will need to fund accommodation for up to a year if this goes ahead.
Theo will shortly be attending Great Harley Street (early Jan ‘26) in London to see if there’s any other medical alternative to ease his suffering. Frequent stays in Crumlin hospital, trips to London, accommodation and other associated costs are weighing heavily on Theo’s family financially. They have never and won’t ask for help - but no parents should have financial worries when going through such a worrying and lengthy health battle with their child.
Let’s show the Duff’s how important they are to our community - it’s an expensive time of year but please donate whatever you can afford.
