Theo Hoppe, my godson, is just 24 and should be stepping into one of the most exciting chapters of his life — a college graduate, focusing on his full-time career, and building a future with his high school sweetheart, Molly. Instead, this Christmas, our family received devastating news: Theo was diagnosed with Stage IV Hodgkin’s Lymphoma.

It all began with an enlarged lump on his neck, something that didn’t seem alarming at first, but quickly became something far more serious than we could have imagined. While Hodgkin’s lymphoma has high cure rates and his doctors remain optimistic, Theo’s case is serious. The cancer has spread beyond his neck and is present in his chest, lungs, spine, and groin.

Because of the severity of his diagnosis, Theo faces a long and aggressive treatment plan that will require frequent hospital visits, significant time away from work, and months focused entirely on healing. Even with insurance, the cost of treatment, medications, and everyday living expenses adds up quickly. This fundraiser is meant to ease that burden, allowing Theo to put his energy toward recovery — not worrying about medical bills or financial strain.
