Dear friends and neighbors, my husband Cesar Fauve and I have been fostering Thelma and Louise since April 29, 2025. Cesar rescued them from a parking lot in northwest Miami, and the vets estimate they are about six months old. Since then, both puppies have visited the vet three times each and have been tested and treated for intestinal parasites and tapeworms, received antibiotics, and started on monthly SIMPARICA TRIO to prevent ticks, fleas, and heartworms. They are up to date on all required vaccines for their age, including rabies and parvo. All invoices and certifications are available upon request.
Thelma and Louise still need to be spayed and have a post-surgery vet check-up before they are ready for adoption. Thelma has a spay appointment scheduled for June 5, but we are still searching for a slot for Louise. It is urgent that both are spayed soon, as they will go into heat any minute. Once they recover, they will be offered for adoption with certification of up-to-date vaccines, spayed, flea-free, and parasite-free. We estimate it may take until at least September to find them homes, as summer travel can slow adoptions. In the meantime, we need funds for vet check-ups, spay surgeries, food, pee pads, and cleaning supplies for the next few months.
We would greatly appreciate any contribution to support Thelma and Louise. No amount is too small, and every dollar helps. We have received some funds previously, but not enough to cover all costs, and have paid out of pocket for vet bills, food, and supplies. Thank you so much for your help. We will keep everyone updated on their progress and adoption status. Kris and Cesar Fauve
