On the morning of May 19 in San Luis, Arizona, my mother and stepfather were involved in a serious train accident. There were no train signals or alerts to warn pedestrians of the oncoming train.

My mother, Maria Ruelas, thankfully did not suffer any injuries. However, her husband, Theadore Ruelas, is currently in critical condition and on life support. He sustained a severe head injury that is causing internal bleeding, along with a fractured lung. Due to the seriousness of his condition, he was flown from the hospital in San Luis to a medical facility in Mexicali for specialized care.

We are asking for any support to help cover his medical expenses and to assist his wife and family with travel and hotel accommodations during this incredibly difficult time. Any contribution, no matter how small, would be deeply appreciated.
