Support The Zipay Family Kick Cancers Ass

Hi Everyone,

For those who don't know me I'm Lauralee Donaldson. I have created this GoFundMe on behalf of the Zipay family.

Chris Zipay, aka Zip / Zippy, is one of my oldest and closest friends since I was 16 years old meeting at my first job at the Oakdale Theatre in Connecticut. Unfortunately, our dear friend Zip recently received news that nobody ever expects. Chris has been diagnosed with stage 3 esophageal cancer. While we remain positive, we also understand the burden fighting this battle will cause for their family. As this is still unbelievable for me to even type, I'm reminded what he and his family are dealing with and hope by creating this page it will reduce just a sliver of their worries.

Chris, a loving husband to Carla, father to his two beautiful and talented children Ava and Nicholas along with many family members and a slew friends. Whether you're one of the lucky ones to be friends with Chris and/ or work with Chris you will know he can be stubborn as well. So asking for help is something he would never do on his own yet would reciprocate support to anyone in his circle going through hard times.

If you know, Chris, you know that he's always got a drumbeat playing in his head , loves a good debate over war stories or politics, time with his family listening to music while Carla is cooking in the kitchen, teaching, and listening to Nicholas on the drums and having one on one time with his love Ava. Personally, my all-time favorite is getting to hear so many of his great stories of the many artists he has worked with throughout his successful years as the production manager for Connecticut concerts. He has worked and been friends with all the great musicians in the world and I’m hopeful they will also help a great friend who made sure their stage performances went perfectly.

I ask today for any donation big or small. Whether you know him as Chris, Zip, Zippy or just the cool guy behind the scenes at concerts, I ask for your kindness and generosity with a donation of any size.
