My name is Paola and I have become close friends with the Zebian family. After dealing with what they thought was a persistent knee injury, they have received the devastating news that their 8 year old daughter Jana, has been diagnosed with Osteosarcoma. The cancer originated in her femur but initial scans show it has metastasized. She has received excellent care at LHSC in London thus far and already has an incredible team behind her.

For those of you that know Jana, you know that she is kind, helpful, humorous, mischievous and bright. She loves school, horseback riding, Disney, her cat Pepper and animals. Right now she loves all things capybaras and penguins will always hold a special place in her heart.

Jana’s treatment will likely involve potential surgery at Sick Kids in Toronto. As well as chemotherapy here at LHSC. There will also be various in-patient stays, visits to clinic and different appointments.

All donations made will go directly towards the Zebian’s expenses related to fighting for Jana’s life. Expenses such as parking, gas, food, mobility aids should they become necessary, medication that may require payment and care and support for Jana’s older sister Samaya. Financial support will allow Ali and Deanne to focus solely on supporting both of their girls during this tremendously emotional and challenging time for their family.
