Support the Zapata Family after Tragic Loss

It is with the heaviest heart that we announce the sudden loss of my dear uncle, David Zapata, on July 8th, 2025. David was not just a son, brother, or friend; he was the brightness in every room, the helping hand during every challenge, and the laughter on even the toughest days.

This loss has left our family devastated and heartbroken. My uncle tragically lost his life on the expressway while performing his duties. He was out there assisting someone in need, just like he always did. Unfortunately, a driver showed a complete lack of regard for my uncle's safety by failing to move over or slow down. This could have easily been prevented.

Anyone who had the pleasure of knowing David understands how very bright, funny, and generous he was. Regardless of what challenges he faced in his own life, he consistently found time for others. He always made it a priority to be there for others. Whether you needed help with moving your belongings, a comforting conversation, or just someone to be present, David was always there.

We are reaching out for your support during this difficult time to cover funeral expenses, memorial arrangements, and to help support his children Kayla, Lynzie, David Jr., & Noah Zapata as well as his wife Grace Zapata.
