My name is Alexis Dean, and by teaching through music and writing I want to encourage people to chase their dreams and show kindness. “Dreams Start Young” is a combination of words that came to me as a college student starting a primary caregiver position with toddlers and preschoolers in 2010. I saw kids express their desires at just two and three years old, and realized how important it is for teachers to support them right away. This combination of words grew from a phrase, to a three part album series titled “Dreams Start Young.” Now, it’s become engrained in my brain while I’m supporting students who need more positivity. Using clean Hip-Hop music, volunteerism, tutoring, DJing, camp counseling and directing, and more I’ve stood by myself and endlessly given my heart for others. Now, with your investment in me, I believe your donations can help me reach even higher!
The clothing is important with spreading the message, but I don’t want to just stop there! I envision with your kindness, I will be educating more schools and communities across all of Wisconsin with my upcoming album “Black Tears And Smiles.”
Ultimately, I want to establish a nonprofit organization that can help all ages around the country improve literacy skills, see positive role models, and eventually grow to be role models themselves. Below are some of the things that your donation could be contributing to for others.
