Dear friends and family. Our dear friend James (Jimmy) Yeager was struck by a reckless driver on November 17, 2018 while riding on his motorcycle just a few blocks from his home. As many of you know, the woman responsible for this accident was not cited and according to police, went on to critically injury a pedestrian just two months later. The woman had no insurance and therfore left all the damages she caused falling on her victims.
James was left with a back injury, wrist/hand injury and and severely injured right ankle and foot. His foot has been the worst of his injuries requiring five surgeries to date and there are at least two more anticipated. Reconstructing his foot has required removing part of his thigh to use healthy skin and nerves as well as skin graphing. This has meant many days in the hospital for him from Napa and Vacavaille to San Francisco, in home nurse care, physical therapy, and a painfully intensive recovery. Now three months out from this accident he is still unable to walk.
James has yet to return to work since that dreadful day. His full time career as a Sonographer with Kaiser has been completely on hold. As a husband and father of five it places a huge strain on a family to have a hard working member of the house completely debilitated. We all know that the bills keep coming and for this family, it is still uncertain if and when James will be able to return to work. I want to rally all our friends, family and community around this amazing family and show them the love and support they deserve and need right now. I hope together we can raise enough monetary donations to cover their mortgage and other essential bills for the next three to four months.
The Yeagers are a family that have extended their home to those in need and their time and hands to many organizations in the community. From School boards to Athletic boards, T-ball coach to Softball Coach, these guys have done so much for others. Let's come together and bless this family!
