Hi everyone,

My name is Sandra Cruz, and I’m a proud mum of two beautiful daughters who attend The Holy Cross School. This school holds a very special place in my heart because I’ve seen firsthand how deeply they care for our girls, nurture them, and provide them with the opportunities they need to truly thrive.

As mothers, we want to give our daughters the best possible start in life, not just to dream big, but to achieve big. However, in today’s world, we still see that women often fall behind in pursuing powerful, impactful careers. Too often, young girls are steered towards what they are “naturally good at” rather than being encouraged to explore, challenge themselves, and lead in all fields, from science and technology to business and beyond.

At The Holy Cross School, they are changing this narrative. They are empowering girls to become confident, capable, and ambitious young women - future leaders, innovators, and changemakers. But to continue this incredible work, they need our support.

On 7th September, I will be running the Big Half London Marathon to raise funds for this amazing school. My goal is to help provide the girls with even better resources, materials, and equipment, from cutting edge science labs and creative art studios to modern technology and sports facilities. Every penny raised will go directly toward giving these girls the tools they need to learn, grow, and become the strong, successful women they are meant to be.
