Support the Witts

As most of you know, the world abruptly lost a wonderful person this past Tuesday, March 31st.  She suffered a Pulmonary Embolism and Heart Attack as a result of a blood clot.  Words can not express the amount of grief that her family, friends and community are feeling from this loss. Erin left behind her husband Rick and 2 boys Mason (10) and Torin (7), along with countless family members and friends. The amount of lives she touched is incredible and will forever live on in the legacy she built without even knowing. Erin was a valuable part of our community always going above and beyond for her students, colleagues, friends and her sons' peers.  The Witt's have been a vital part of the Fremont School District, Hawthorn School District, Aptakistic-Trip School District, Mundelein Police Department, Mundelein Baseball and Basketball, and Lake County Lightning Communities.  Because Erin & her family have touched so many lives, the outpouring desire to help in the family's greatest time of need has been incredible.  As her friends, we started with the immediate support of a meal train, but soon realized that the amount of help being offered surpassed that need.  We have decided that the best way to further support the family moving forward would be through monetary donations.  These donations can be used for child care, sports, college and whatever else the future holds for Mason & Torin.
Please understand that this is NOT something that the Witt or Zane Families have asked for but something the community has expressed a desire to do.  We cannot even begin to explain how much this will mean to them when they see so many people were touched by their mom's life. If you feel comfortable sharing a story or memory of how Erin touched your life along with your donation, we know the family will cherish those more than anything.

Be grateful for every second of every day that you get to spend with the people you love.  Life is so precious!
