It breaks my heart to say that Casey passed away after his battle with aggressive cancer. This past year has left our family emotionally and financially exhausted from medical bills and ongoing care costs. With Casey's passing, we have also lost the disability income that was helping to support our household. I am working on getting back on my feet and plan to take a second job, and our son's Logan and Gavin are helping where they can. UPDATE: Over the last year, so much has changed for our family. Casey's cancer journey has become even more difficult; we recently learned that the cancer has spread into his bone marrow and spine. He continues to fight every day through treatments, appointments, pain, exhaustion and uncertainty.

While we are incredibly grateful for the support, prayers and kindness we've received, the financial side of this battle has become overwhelming. Even with insurance, our portion of medical bills continues to grow, along with continued cost of travel, medications and everyday living expenses.

Because Casey's health needs have increased, I've had to keep my work limited and flexible so I can care for Casey's ongoing medical needs.
