On Veterans Day, the Williams family experienced an unimaginable loss — the passing of Rita Williams, a beloved wife to Stephen Willams, mother to Makayla, Savannah, Serenity, and Wyatt, A grandmother to Ricky, Grayson, Raelynn, Gabrielle. A US Army Comrade to many. Rita’s kindness, strength, and unwavering love touched everyone who knew her. She was the heart of her family, always putting others before herself and finding joy in the simple moments spent with loved ones.

Specialist Rita Williams was a devoted combat medic whose dedication to service didn’t end when she came home. After her military career, she spent over ten years working with the VA, guiding fellow veterans through challenging situations with compassion and strength. During her deployment to El Salvador, and throughout every chapter of her life, Rita carried a bright, uplifting spirit that touched everyone she met. Her loss on Veterans Day leaves a tremendous void in the lives of her family, friends, and the veteran community she served so selflessly.
