Support The Wilds' Recovery Efforts in North Carolina

Donation protected
The Wilds has helped countless thousands of kids, adults, and families through its storied multi-decade history. Nestled in the beautiful mountains of North Carolina, it has served as a haven for weary souls to be refreshed. I know my own life was impacted as a young person, and now my own children reminisce and look forward to going back year after year.

The recent hurricane has devastated their campus with downed trees, damaged buildings, lost equipment, washed-out bridges, and so much more.

Our local Southern Lancaster County has graciously opened their hearts and wallets to provide much-needed equipment and supplies for the cleanup effort at the Wilds and the local community. We currently have a semi-truck scheduled to load Monday, October 7, 2024, headed for Brevard, North Carolina. While the needs are great, God is meeting those needs in ways only He can.

We are assembling a team to travel down Tuesday, October 8, 2024, to help with the cleanup efforts. While donations have come in, the expense of running the equipment will be great. Items such as gas, diesel, and consumables like chainsaw chains and other equipment will be costly. We anticipate bringing at least 100 gallons of gas and at least 100 gallons of diesel to sustain us for the week's work.

Items have been donated such as a pickup for a family that lost all their vehicles, a mini excavator, a mini skid loader, and other equipment. They have a desperate need for a side-by-side, a dump truck, and even a crane to lift trees off buildings.

These items are expensive and are in steep demand with the entire area ravaged by the storm. We are trying to help by bringing equipment from southern PA that they can use - and either keep - or return when their efforts are completed.

Will you come alongside us to help offset some of those expenses? Even the smallest of donations can help. A gallon of gas will do a lot of work in a chainsaw. Larger donations can help to purchase some of these needed items to send down.

We appreciate the efforts of so many people around the country to help those affected by this disaster.

100% of these funds will go for equipment and supplies the Wilds needs in the immediate future. Any funds not used will be given directly to the Wilds for their rebuilding efforts.
