Just before Thanksgiving of 2019, Deanna's husband, Greg was experiencing some problems with his eyesight.
He went to see a doctor, and after a couple of weeks of investigation and a biopsy, they diagnosed him with stage IV Glioblastoma. He had a very successful surgery that removed most of the tumor right before Christmas, and now going through extensive medical care, rehab and more. Because of the lost eyesight and extensive recovery Greg needs to go through, he can't work.
Deanna has been dedicating all of her time being a full-time caregiver and helping him with scheduling appointments, driving him to Boston from Vermont, arranging childcare for the kids (Oliver and Zeb), and communicating with doctors. Right now, it's tough for her to run her business to help with all the large expenses they are incurring.
This is a beautiful family I care so much about, and Deanna has become one of my closest friends in the last year. She didn't make a public statement about the challenges to anyone, but I know this woman and her heart - she will first do everything she can before admitting she needs help. She is the person who changed so many lives through health coaching, education, and support. So I want to help her and want to ask you to support them too in any way you can (donating money, sending them groceries or other things, I have their address). Anything, even the smallest amount will help them right now.
Another way you could help is to purchase access to Habits to Thrive ( a bundle of two online summits) hosted by Deanna Wilcox and Anya Perry in 2019 with the participation of Mark Sisson and 20+ other Primal Health coaches. All proceeds will go directly to Deanna and her family.
